Who We Are
Julian founded Dust Till Dawn Cleaning and runs it. He is not a name on an invoice. He is still involved in the work itself, and still across the detail of how each clean is done.
That is what the standard is built on. Every cleaner who joins is held to the standard he set, trained into it, and signed off against it before they work on their own. When a client raises something, it reaches the person who set that standard in the first place.
We are a business with people in it. Our cleaners are employed by us, not subcontracted out, which is why there is always someone accountable for the work in your home.
Before anyone is hired
How We Hire
Every cleaner working in a client home has been through the same five steps, in the same order. Nobody skips ahead.
Qualify
We work out whether the applicant is right for the work and right for the homes they would be entering, before anything else happens.
Police check
A police check is run early, as a condition of going any further. It is not a formality we catch up on once someone has started.
Interview
We interview for reliability and care as much as for cleaning experience. The things that go wrong in this job are almost never technique.
Trial
They work a trial. Cleaning is a practical job, and the only honest way to assess someone is to watch them do it.
Train
Only then do we train them to full competency. Nobody works in a client home on their own until that is finished and signed off.

How We Train
New cleaners work through hours of training material before they are any use to anybody. Then they shadow experienced cleaners in real homes, which is the part that actually transfers the standard.
Nobody works alone until they have been signed off. That sign-off is the line between learning the job and being trusted with someone's home, and we do not blur it.
After that, the work does not run on memory. Every cleaner follows the same written Full-Home Standard checklist, in every home, on every visit. It is why a clean done by one of our cleaners looks like a clean done by any of the others.

You get the same cleaner every visit. That is a decision about how the business is built, not a scheduling convenience we manage when we can.
A cleaner who knows your home knows which surfaces mark, which room takes longer, what you would like left alone and where things live. Someone meeting the house for the first time is working all of that out while the clock runs. Give both the same hours and the first one delivers a better clean.
It is also how the standard holds from one visit to the next, because the person applying it is the person who applied it last time.

Looking After The People Who Clean Your Home
Cleaning is hard on a body. Ask anyone looking for a new cleaner why they are looking, and the answer is often that their last one had to stop. It is an industry with a real problem: back injuries, joint damage, and years of exposure to harsh chemicals.
We are not willing to build a business on that. The products we use are environmentally friendly, low-tox, septic safe and safe around children and pets, which matters for your home and matters just as much for the person spending eight hours a day around them. We train for technique, not just for results, and we build rounds that are physically sustainable.
The practical version for you: your cleaner is more likely to still be your cleaner in three years.

How we take on work
Why We Only Do Recurring Cleaning
We do not take one-off jobs. Everything we do runs on a recurring schedule, and we build long relationships with a smaller number of clients instead of moving through a lot of single visits.
The reason is the same one behind the same-cleaner promise. Our cleaners work set rounds for regular clients, and a round only holds together if the work on it is steady. One-off jobs pull it apart.
It also changes what we are aiming at. A one-off clean has to impress once. A recurring clean has to hold up for years, which is the harder thing to do and the better thing to buy.
